Planned & Estate Giving

You’ve worked hard and invested wisely to accumulate assets and build your estate. Did you know that there are ways to help these assets work differently to not only reduce taxes and provide additional income but, importantly, benefit Echo Hill Outdoor School now and/or in the future?

Your consideration of the following (or additional) means of making a planned gift could create a lasting legacy for hundreds, if not thousands, of future students and participants and those teachers who faithfully serve our mission.

  • Outright Gifts: Cash, Appreciated Stock, Real Estate, Boats and Vehicles;

  • Bequests (Wills);

  • Gift of Life Insurance;

  • Retained Real Estate;

  • Charitable Remainder Trusts;

  • Charitable Remainder Unitrusts;

  • Charitable Remainder Lead Trusts.

If interested, we would be happy to work with you and your financial and legal advisors directly or we could provide professional advisors whom you will find considerate, helpful and highly professional.

Bequests
Donors may make a gift to Echo Hill Outdoor School by including the school in their will. Please check with your attorney to make the necessary arrangements. If you are making a planned gift, we encourage you to let us know of your intentions.

Stock Gifts
Contributions can also be made through stock and other securities. The donor will receive a tax deduction for the current, full market value of the stock on the date of transfer. If you plan to donate stock, please have your broker contact us at 410.348.5880 or info@ehos.org. You will need to provide the type of stock, amount of stock and appropriate date of transfer.

Real Estate
Echo Hill Outdoor School has received several gifts of real estate in past years. The gifts have covered a range of areas from staff housing, campus enhancements and funding to support our programs. If you are interested in making a gift of real estate, please contact us at 410-348-5880 or info@ehos.org.
